Khushi is just 20 months old — bright, curious, and full of laughter. She loves clapping to songs, mimicking voices, and trying to stand on her tiny feet.

But behind that smile, Khushi is fighting one of the rarest and most devastating diseases in the world: Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA Type 1) — a genetic condition that weakens her muscles and, without treatment, slowly takes away her ability to move, swallow, and eventually breathe.

There is hope — a single-dose gene therapy called Zolgensma can replace the missing SMN1 gene and stop the progression of SMA. It’s truly a miracle treatment, but the cost is staggering: over $2 million USD. This therapy must be given before Khushi turns two, which means we have only a short window to act.
